Position: Regional Food Service Sales Manager - Midwest

Uno Foods, a division of Uno Chicago Grill, began manufacturing frozen pizzas and hand held appetizers in the basement of one of our Boston restaurants in 1988 and has grown into its present day establishment of producing over 66,000 pizzas and related items per day.

We are seeking a Regional Sales Manager, (Food Service) for the Midwest, to develop and grow our business in all channels of the food service industry. All of our products are made by hand using the same ingredients as our Uno Chicago Grill restaurants and following the same recipes that have made us famous throughout the world. The Uno tradition began with the legendary Deep Dish Pizza, invented by Ike Sewell, and has evolved to include hand-tossed pizzas, calzones, quesadillas, dips and more.

Today, Uno Foods provides Uno-quality products that are sold in over 6,000 grocery stores and served in hotels, stadiums, airports, schools, and movie theaters across the country.

As an UNO Foods Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the development and growth of the Midwest region. Focus will be on new profitable business development throughout the region, proper maintenance and growth of existing business. Key target channels will include: Contract feeders, travel plazas, hotels, B&I, colleges and universities, K-12, and C-store.

In concert with the Director of Sales, you will be responsible for the strategic planning of the region and will have primary responsibility for execution and overall sales achievement. You will develop and maintain contacts at appropriate levels within your assigned accounts to influence decision-making and drive aggressive sales growth.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Drive profitable growth, increasing share and manage to company objectives. Utilize knowledge of specific market and key contacts to gain access to potential new customers and new distribution.
  • Analyze category, industry and competitive trends to recommend proactive plans to grow and defend Uno Foods sales and profits.
  • Effectively manage brokers, where necessary, to influence key decision makers within your geography.
  • Assist in forecasting of existing business, roll out of new items, promotional business and annual business plan.
  • Take a lead role as an advocate of complete customer satisfaction insuring customer retention and long-term growth.

Areas of Preferred Experience:

  • 4 year college degree
  • At least 5-7 years of selling food products to food service operators, preferably in the Midwest
  • At least 3 years of experience in broker management
  • Working knowledge / understanding of the National School Lunch Program.
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft office products; Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
  • Travel as needed, appr. 50-75% of time
